    Brake Hose

The Brake Hose (1.28020) delivers high pressure brake fluid to the calipers or wheel cylinders. Replacing a worn hose prevents leaks and restores safe braking performance. Use Porza’s smart search to find the correct hose.

    FAQ

A brake hose is a flexible hydraulic line that connects the rigid brake pipes to the brake calipers or wheel cylinders. Its function is to transfer brake fluid under high pressure while allowing movement from steering and suspension. This flexibility ensures consistent braking performance even as the wheels move relative to the vehicle body.

Key specifications include hose length, inner diameter, connection type (such as banjo fittings or threaded ends), and pressure rating. Brake hoses are typically made from reinforced rubber or braided materials with internal textile or steel layers. They must withstand high hydraulic pressures and temperatures (often exceeding 120–150°C) and comply with standards such as SAE J1401 or DIN specifications for safety and durability.

Replacement is necessary when there are signs of cracking, bulging, leaks, or reduced flexibility. Over time, brake hoses can degrade due to heat, pressure, and environmental exposure. Faulty hoses can affect braking performance and safety, so regular inspection and timely replacement are essential.

Porza offers a fit guarantee option where your vehicle details, such as license plate or VIN, are checked against product specifications. This ensures the brake hose matches the correct length, connection type, and configuration for your vehicle, reducing the risk of incorrect fitment.

Porza supplies high-quality brake components with fast delivery across Europe. Customers can order online or choose in-store pickup in the Netherlands, Germany, or Belgium. This allows quick and flexible access to essential parts for both professional workshops and individual users, with reliable European-wide shipping.

If you select the fit guarantee, Porza verifies compatibility before shipment. If the product does not fit or meet expectations, it can be returned according to the return policy. This ensures a secure and risk-free purchasing experience.
